Elvis Costello

Elvis Costello performed last night with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra as part of the Summer Pops season in a show that mixed up new classical works with opera singer Gisela Stille alongside classically backed classics such as Green Shirt, Alison, Accidents Will Happen and Watching The Detectives.  After numerous standing ovations the show ended with Elvis singing Couldn't Call It Unexpected No.4, accompanied by Steve Nieve on paino, only he walked away from the mic and sang it acoustic and even got down and wandered around the audience for the finale.
