NME.com

The press session I did for The Wombats, earlier on in the year, features on the front page of the NME site today.

Commercial break

This was shot earlier this year for the insurance company Premier Guarantee but I've only just seen how the photographs were used.

Shack

Here's a photograph from last week's gig by Shack at Liverpool's Carling Academy. I don't know how many times I've seen them play but it's a lot and I recommend those who haven't to do so. And if you've not heard them at all then now's a good time to do so as they've got their fist ever compilation out called 'Time Machine'.

An this week I'm back again photographing The Pigeon Detectives, which is a terrible name for a band but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as Arctic Monkeys is an even worse name and I like them.

Frustrated

Well, I am at the moment because I can't show the jobs I've been working on recently. This week is being taken up by an interiors shoot in London, a fashion shoot in Liverpool, 3 music commissions and a portrait. I've also been working on some images of Liverpool for a business magazine. The only thing is that I don't like showing commissioned work on here until it's been approved or printed so I'm frustrated because I'm made up with loads of the work I've been doing this week but can't show it! So here's something that's irrelevant to all of it. Thanks.

On Monday I did a shoot for Met Quarter which has been placed with various newspapers. Here's one from yesterday's Daily Post.

Scanning world.

Been a bit slack over the last 5 days but then I've been away for the weekend and shot loads of film which all needs processing and then scanning etc. I've also been working on some new editorial fashion stories for Met Quarter but today I'm cleaning up scans and editing text for a forthcoming book. This is from the opening night of the new Garlands which is now actually quite an old Garlands.

Last night at Liverpool's Carling Academy

Four of these photographs are of trendy new pop stars Reverend & The Makers and their support act Ting Tings whilst the other 2 are of the angry young rock men that go by the name of Avenged Sevenfold. Can you guess which is which?

The face of rock

Has 2 drums. Photographed 3 bands last night in Carling Academy's 2 venues. Downstairs was Avenged Sevenfold. I'm sure God knows why that music appeals to some people. And I also photographed Ting Tings and Reverend & The Makers in the big room.

Back to black

I've just changed my site, AGAIN, and this time included a link to the new library site. Also, the new library site works best in black so I've decided to change all of the sections and then ended up changing loads of the images. I've also updated my printed portfolio for the first time in ages so please let me know if you would like to make an appointment.
